Giving back and being conscious of the impact I am making has always been something that has personally been very important to me. So, when I started Alice Dartnell Limited, I wanted to make sure this was something that was carried into the business.

Whatever the service or delivery – from working with organisation to private clients, from my programmes to the Success Box personal development book club –

I want to ensure that I give the very best I can (I call this my ‘absolute Alice’) and I also want to make sure the footprints left behind are positive.

Here are some of the ways, me and my team are ensuring we are keeping to that. And if you have any suggestions for improve Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) then please send your idea in alice@alicedartnell.com.

MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

As someone who has first-hand experience living with depression and anxietyI’m a huge supporter and advocate of promoting wellbeingboth mentally and physically. In my bid to support mental healthI’ve served as a trustee for local mental health charity Mind in Tower Hamlets and Newham (I’m only no longer a trustee because I have maxed out my term to serve on the boardwhich has opened up the opportunity for me to deliver pro bono work, such as delivering talks to staff, for national Mind via the business.

I’m also passionate about sharing my personal experienceI bring my value of honesty into talking about this subject openly (especially as it is often seen as quite taboo still). I’ve talked frankly about my past mental health matters in podcasts and interviews.

Please get in touch if you think there is potential to collaborate on a mental health project and/or you would like me to share my story with your audience.

BOOK AID INTERNATIONAL

As part of the Success Box Personal Development Book Clubwe proudly donate £2 for every membership subscription (every monthto the charity Book Aid International, the UK’s leading international book donation and library development charity. Their vision is a world where everyone has access to the books that will enrich, improve and change their lives. Within the first 6 months of launching Success Box, we made a donation to Book Aid International which meant nearly 70 people were given the gift of having access to a book.

PLANT A TREE

When Success Box Personal Development Book Club was launched we were aware that a lot of packaging would be used as the book club is combined with a subscription model where members receive their book along with extra goodies in a box every month. As this is part of the model, we wanted to make sure we were doing what we could to protect the environment with our packaging use. When looking for a packaging company to supply the boxes, we found Dav Pack, a business that plants a tree for every order made, and we have used them ever since for all the business’s packaging needs.
